Lose 10 pounds in 10 Mondays
Are you ready for some math? Don’t be intimidated, even I can do this. One pound of fat contains 3500 calories. Picture a pound of butter. That is 3500 calories. In order to lose a pound of fat you have to burn off 3500 calories. Easy so far? The simplest way to do this is to increase your activity level while at the same time decrease your food intake slightly. This way you won’t feel that much of a change in your lifestyle.

Exercise: Burn off 200 Calories per day for seven days (approximately 30 minutes of walking per day). In a week you will have burned off 1400 calories.

Diet: Eat 500 calories less per day for seven days (cut out fries, chocolate bar etc). In a week you will have saved 3500 calories

Total: In a period of one week you will have a deficit of 4900 calories. That equates to 1.4 pounds of fat loss.

Recap: The above example isn’t hard to accomplish. Put on your ipod, or find a friend and go for a 30 minute walk. When you feel like having those fries, pop etc. find an alternative that doesn’t have as many calories and in 10 Mondays you will have lost 10 pounds.
